All events workshops, and mini-workshops are free and open to the public.
Outdoor events are subject to weather. Under inclement weather conditions, workshop will be held at Gateway Technical College Pike Creek Horticulture Center.

Down to Earth 2017 is the year we will be spending beautifying our community garden. Our plans our to plant fruit bushes, fruit trees, grape vines and perennial flowers.
Down to Earth Fall Festival
When: Sunday, October 1st 2-4pm
Where: The Moose Pavilion behind Down to Earth Community Garden, 3003 30th ave. Kenosha, WI.
What: A free festival featuring:
Two workshops: "Grow Your Own Garlic" and "Composting 101". Seed garlic will be available for sale and a compost can will be raffled off to one lucky workshop participant.
Three demonstration booths to explain the basics of fermenting, canning, and sprouting.
Free kids activities including face painting, storytelling with the Kenosha Public Library, and games.
A bake sale and 50/50 raffle to raise money for our new pilot program to help develop intensive urban farming in the Kenosha area.
Fall pre-registration for current community gardeners to reserve their current plots for 2018.
